The EPF has previously hosted two successful cohorts, with participants going on to work on a range of exciting projects that have real impact on the Ethereum protocol. Past cohort members have worked on an alternate method of documenting and specifying the Ethereum protocol, researched how to modify or remove the SELFDESTRUCT opcode, helped build ZKSync, and built out new peer-to-peer networks for the Portal Network. Many cohort alumni now work full-time on core protocol development, while others work in adjacent areas of the industry.
